In the face of the global challenge of increasing food production with less environmental impact, soil health is recognized as the basis for more productive, resilient and sustainable agriculture. Healthy soils are essential for food security, preserving biodiversity, sequestering carbon and combating climate change.
Brazil stands out as the fourth largest producer of knowledge on soil health in the world, reflecting a growing demand for research and innovative practices. However, there are still challenges in measuring and monitoring soil health in a standardized way, given the regional variables and the complexity of physical, chemical and biological indicators.
With this, the Brazilian Soil Health Partnership was created, whose main objective is to unite researchers, farmers, and other sectors of society in favor of an integrated soil health agenda.
